Mock Driving Test Lessons

Know You're Ready Before Test Day

A mock driving test is one of the single most valuable things a learner driver can do before their real DVSA practical test. It removes the unknown from the equation — you'll know exactly what to expect, how you perform under test conditions, and what still needs work.

What Happens in a Mock Test?

Your instructor takes the role of the examiner for the duration of a full 40-minute drive. They'll ask the Show Me / Tell Me vehicle safety question, direct you through a variety of road types, request manoeuvres and independent driving, and observe your driving exactly as a DVSA examiner would. At the end, they'll give you a full debrief.

How Many Mock Tests Do I Need?

Most students benefit from one or two mock tests close to their real test date. The first mock identifies specific areas for improvement; the second (after targeted practice) builds confidence and confirms readiness. Some students benefit from more — your instructor will advise honestly.

Mock Tests Across North London Test Centres

We conduct mock tests on routes associated with Enfield, Wood Green and Chingford DVSA test centres. This means you're practising on the exact roads an examiner is likely to take you on — a significant advantage.

FAQ

Common Questions

What is a mock driving test?
A mock driving test is a full simulation of the DVSA practical driving test carried out by your instructor in the role of examiner. It lasts approximately 40 minutes and follows the same structure as the real test.
How much does a mock driving test lesson cost?
Mock test sessions are charged at our standard lesson rate — from £40 for a 1-hour session. A full mock test typically takes 1.5–2 hours including the debrief.
When should I take a mock driving test?
Ideally, complete your mock test 1–2 weeks before your real test date. This gives you time to address any faults identified before the actual test.
Will my instructor tell me if I would have passed or failed?
Yes. At the end of your mock test, your instructor will give you a full examiner-style debrief including a pass/fail assessment and a detailed breakdown of any driving faults recorded.
Can I book a mock test at the Enfield or Wood Green test centre routes?
Yes. We conduct mock tests on routes used by Enfield, Wood Green and Chingford DVSA test centres. We'll arrange to meet or collect you at a suitable point near your test centre.
